Job Overview

Rapid7 is significantly investing in our Security Content, powering the Exposure Management platform. As a Product Management Director, you will partner with various teams to drive this effort. This includes collaborating with engineers, UI/UX, customer researchers, technical writers, marketing, and compliance and governance teams. Additionally, you will help mentor and lead a group of focused Product Managers.

Key Responsibilities
  1. You will work closely with cross-functional leadership teams to own the Coverage product vision across the Rapid7 Exposure Management product portfolio.
  2. Partner with customer research, UX, data science, product, and engineering teams to ensure the creation of excellent products and experiences that maximize customer and business impact.
  3. Ensure product development aligns with Rapid7's compliance and governance policies.
  4. Manage multiple initiatives and product life cycles that map to Rapid7's business objectives and product strategy.
  5. You will define, design, and lead the execution of user requirements into product deliverables, partnering with multiple teams through the Rapid7 product SDLC processes.
  6. Facilitate cross-functional collaboration and understanding of initiatives, customer outcomes, and urgency to mitigate risks in dependencies for deliverables.
  7. Create and report upon KPIs and metrics to monitor cost, usage, and customer adoption appropriate through varying stages of development; from POC to full production releases.
  8. Collaborate with Marketing on messaging and artifacts for public visibility initiatives, development, and customer engagement.
  9. Lead, coach, and mentor colleagues through influence;
About the Role

This position requires 6+ years in product management, with experience equivalent to Lead/Principal level roles. Demonstrated knowledge of Cyber Security concepts, markets, and practices is necessary. You should also be able to stay up-to-date on emerging policies, trends, and competitors.

  • Fluency in driving the complete product lifecycle with an excellent understanding of how to map use-cases to solutions and concepts.

  • Superb communication abilities that adjust based on the levels of seniority in the business.
  • A track record of successfully positioning products and their features within a highly competitive landscape.
