We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Transport Office Manager to join our team at Royal Mail. As a key member of our National Distribution operation, you will play a critical role in facilitating the effective running of our traffic office at the Bridgend Hub.
Key Responsibilities- Support and inspire a front-line team of drivers, ensuring operational work plans are achieved and that our pipeline optimises the flow of parcels and mail.
- Professionalise distribution, maintaining compliance with business policies, national work plan and Standard Operating Procedures.
- Build effective relationships with key stakeholders, both internally and externally, using excellent communication, influencing and stakeholder management skills.
- Deliver results and a better service to our customers through your team, demonstrating trust in all colleagues.
- Managing and supporting a large team to maximise performance.
- CPC licence holder or willing to study towards.
- Experience from a logistics/parcel distribution background.
- Experience of using telematics/tracker devices to monitor drivers hours.
- People skills, good communication skills, able to engage and motivate team members to work to high standards.
- Target focused with a track record of improving performance and achieving KPIs.
- Experience of introducing change/improvements and successfully supporting people through change.
- Data analysis and problem solving – ability to use data to identify trends in performance and then develop solutions/make improvements.
- Relationships, able to build effective working relationships with a range of stakeholders to achieve business benefits.
