About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented PDC Technician to join our team at CEVA Logistics. As a PDC Technician, you will play a critical role in maintaining the quality and efficiency of our fleet operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Vehicle Health Checks: Conduct thorough health checks on vehicles to identify any defects or issues that may impact their performance or safety.
  • PDI and PDC Activities: Perform Pre-Delivery Inspection (PDI) and Post-Delivery Check (PDC) activities to ensure that vehicles meet client manufacturing specifications and company standards.
  • Check Sheet Management: Manage and maintain check sheet activities through systems and portable tablets to ensure accurate and efficient data collection.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with the Garage Support team and Technician Team to promote consistent productivity within the workshop and ensure effective communication of vehicle status and issues.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Ensure completion of all mechanical job-related documentation through the system, reporting any issues found and detailing work completed.
  • Defect Detection and Reporting: Detect vehicle defects or symptoms of impending failures and report issues to the damage team if repairs cannot be conducted.
  • Minor Repairs and Servicing: Perform minor repairs, servicing, and tyre replacements as required.
  • Tool and Equipment Management: Adhere to company standards to ensure all tools and equipment are clean, safe, and stored, reporting any damage or faults to management.
  • Health and Safety: Comply with health and safety processes and procedures, ensuring working environments are clean and tidy and PPE is worn.
Requirements
  • Certifications: Hold Level 1 and 2 certifications in motor vehicle engineering or equivalent.
  • Experience: Proven vehicle technician experience, ideally within an automotive or workshop environment.
  • Knowledge and Skills: Knowledge of vehicle and workshop quality standards, with an inquisitive mindset and ability to actively problem-solve to ensure operational efficiency.
  • Communication and Teamwork: Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team.
