**About the Role**

We are seeking an experienced Machine Technician to join our team at Omega Resource Group in Chard. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating machinery and equipment to ensure high process standards are achieved.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work to written instructions, procedures, and quality standards.
  • Furnace operation to ensure high process standards are achieved.
  • Prepare customers components for processing, make up, and breakdown.
  • Monitoring and reporting on all aspects affecting processing of product.
  • Supporting the planning work.
  • Be prepared to train on the quality aspects of the site.
  • Goods in/out responsibilities including van driving to support site.
  • Contribute to a clean, tidy, and safe working environment.
  • Work in a safe and responsible manner and follow company Health and Safety guidelines.

About You

We are looking for someone with general education and good numerate skills. Attention to detail and accurate working are essential. Good understanding of computers and knowledge of spreadsheets is advantageous. Experience in Heat Treatment of metals is preferred.
