Job DescriptionWe are seeking an experienced Senior Gas Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering department, you will be responsible for carrying out servicing, breakdown and maintenance work on all types of gas boilers and heating systems.
Your duties will include:
- Carrying out Landlord gas safety inspections
- Boiler installation works where required
- Carrying out repairs and maintenance to domestic plumbing systems where required
- Ensuring all work is carried out to the highest professional standards in compliance with all gas, water and building regulations
You will also be responsible for providing and maintaining all hand tools as required by your role, ensuring adherence to our Health & Safety policy, and hitting performance targets set by your line manager.
Additionally, you will be expected to maintain accurate records of work completed, including parts orders, timesheets, quotations and tablet data.
RequirementsTo be successful in this role, you will need:
- A positive, can-do attitude
- Excellent organisation skills in terms of managing time and workload
- Excellent technical knowledge of both Plumbing and Heating engineering
- Significant relevant experience within a similar role
- City and Guilds Level 3 in Plumbing and Heating or recognised equivalent
- At least 3 years post qualification experience
- Gas Safe qualified
- Excellent customer service skills (verbal and written communication are key)
We offer a competitive salary of £42,000 - £45,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus a company bonus scheme, standby payments and enhanced rate overtime. You will also receive up to 10% employer contribution towards Aviva's Group Personal Pension Plan, a company van for work use only, and access to a range of benefits to support your personal and financial wellbeing.
