We invite experienced professionals to contribute their expertise in Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA), team leadership, and business development towards delivering comprehensive urban regeneration and masterplanning projects.

Ramboll is seeking a highly skilled Associate to lead and support our existing portfolio of projects in London and across the UK. This role involves bringing demonstrable experience of statutory EIA and non-statutory environmental assessment and planning processes, providing environmental inputs to complex projects, and taking a leading role in developing and growing the team.

The ideal candidate will have a strong track record in EIA consultancy in the urban regeneration sector, with a passion for developing sustainable solutions. They should possess a thorough understanding of the UK policy and regulatory framework for EIA and be able to confidently engage with a range of stakeholder groups.

This opportunity offers the chance to work collaboratively across our multi-disciplinary business, with in-house technical specialist groups, and grow as a leader within a dynamic and supportive environment.

About the Role
  • Assist in leading and expanding the London EIA team, including business planning, recruitment, and training;
  • Lead and collaborate on identifying EIA and environmental business opportunities, deliver associated proposals, develop trusted advisor relationships;
  • Provide strategic and project-specific EIA and environmental advice to clients and specialists;
  • Mentor and line manage team members.

Salary and Benefits

The salary for this position is £65,000 - £90,000 per annum, depending on experience. Our benefits package includes a comprehensive pension scheme, private medical insurance, travel insurance, and generous holiday allowance.

Requirements
  • A relevant degree in environmental sciences, environmental engineering, or a related discipline;
  • Strong commercial awareness and business development skills;
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills;
  • Ability to collaborate with various stakeholders and specialists;
  • Experience of managing a team and budgeting.
