Financial Analyst

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Management Accountant to join our team at MTrec Ltd Commercial. As a key member of our finance function, you will be responsible for providing financial analysis and reporting to support business decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with the preparation and reporting of financial performance metrics, analyzing and interpreting results to provide insightful commentary against budget and forecast.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, complete balance sheet reconciliations, and collaborate with the corporate finance team to review and finalize financial statements.
• Maintain the fixed asset register and track project spend from approval to asset capitalization.
• Work closely with purchasing and accounts payable departments to resolve issues in a timely manner.
• Provide financial data to support informed decision-making across departments, including explanations and interpretations.
• Support external and internal audits to ensure compliance and accuracy.

Requirements

• Part or newly qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with experience in a busy finance function.
• Up-to-date knowledge of UK GAAP and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• SAP experience is preferred, but not required.
• Strong analytical skills, ability to work under pressure, and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills to deliver information in a concise and clear manner.
