Duties and Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the provision for students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities at Dunbar Education.

Key Accountabilities

  • Develop and implement effective teaching strategies and behavior management practices.
  • Collaborate with staff to monitor and evaluate the impact of SEN provision, identifying areas for improvement.
  • Evaluate compliance with statutory requirements, ensuring adherence to EHCPs.

Requirements

To excel in this role, you will need:

  • A recognised teaching qualification and SENDCo accreditation.
  • Proven experience in supporting children and young people with complex needs.
  • Expertise in the SEND Code of Practice and current best practices.
  • An unwavering commitment to improving outcomes for vulnerable young people.
