Street Cleaning Operative Job Description

Gap Personnel is working with a leading company in Norwich City centre to fill a Full-Time, temporary to permanent Street Cleaning Operative position. The role involves maintaining and improving the standard of streets, parks, open spaces, and housing areas in the city centre.

The successful candidate will be based in the centre of Norwich and will be responsible for using a street cleaning barrow to maintain the upkeep of assigned areas and report any issues to the team leader. This will involve litter picking, street cleansing duties, and ensuring daily checks on vehicles and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Litter picking and street cleansing duties
  2. Driving various vehicles within the scope of an appropriate licence (training will be provided)
  3. Carrying out general street cleansing, litter picking, bin emptying duties
  4. Ensuring daily checks on vehicles and equipment
  5. Completing paperwork as instructed
  6. Observing and continually promoting equalities and customer care
