A leading primary school in East London is seeking an experienced and passionate individual to join their team as a Graduate/Experienced Primary Teaching Assistant. This role offers the opportunity to work in a supportive and thriving primary school, where you can contribute to the academic growth and development of students.

The successful candidate will be working closely with the class teacher, supporting students and contributing to a positive learning environment. As a Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will have the chance to gain hands-on paid primary school experience, covering all areas of the primary curriculum in a Year 2 class.

This Newham-based primary school is committed to providing high-quality education and is eager to hear from Graduates who have gained some form of experience with young people, such as youth work, sports coaching, or tutoring.

The full-time position commences in January and provides the opportunity to develop your skills and knowledge through regular training and professional development opportunities.

Salary: £85 - £100 per day. Ideal candidates will have a strong passion for education and be dedicated to supporting the academic growth and development of students.

Job Description:
  • Support the class teacher in delivering lessons and activities
  • Work closely with students to ensure they understand and engage with the curriculum
  • Contribute to a positive and inclusive learning environment
Requirements:
  • Graduate status or equivalent experience
  • Experience working with children or young people (desirable)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team
