Bosch is seeking a highly skilled Senior Electronics Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our electronics engineering team, you will be responsible for delivering complex electronic systems and products.
Key Responsibilities- Take ownership of technical topics to ensure timely delivery of projects, meeting cost and quality requirements.
- Lead design decisions and become a design authority for electronics systems.
- Generate and manage requirements throughout project phases.
- Provide systems architecture design, defining block diagrams for complex hardware and software systems.
- Design and develop electronics and hardware architecture for complex robotic products.
- Offer electronics design expertise and technical support for a portfolio of garden power tools.
- Collaborate closely with stakeholders throughout development phases from concept to production.
- Mentor and support engineers within the team and wider business.
- Support series production and resolve problems with robust and cost-effective solutions.
- Understand and implement legislative compliance for target customer regions.
- Contribute to and develop electrical test plans for complex systems.
- Lead risk management and mitigation within the electronics discipline, including DFMEA and PFMEA.
- Foster and manage positive relationships with external stakeholders, such as consultative bodies, manufacturers, and suppliers.
- Generate single fault analysis for CB certification and type approvals.
- Consult with internal and external certification and compliance experts to generate appropriate compliance arguments for products.
- Demonstrate excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and a desire to drive towards success.
- Apply an analytical mindset to analyze existing designs against standards and safety criteria.
- Communicate clearly at all levels, creating presentations, diagrams, and delivering content suitable for the target audience.
- Understand, follow, and promote company practices on good housekeeping, safety, health, environment, and quality.
- Demonstrate outstanding teamwork and a desire for inclusivity at all levels.
- Degree in Electronic Engineering discipline, with a Master's degree being an advantage.
- Minimum 5 years' experience in electronic engineering, with a proven track record of delivery.
- Excellent skills in reading and understanding schematic and PCB designs.
- Proficiency in system engineering and design tools, such as CodeBeamer, Doors, Jira, Git, MATLAB, Altium, Arduino, PIC ST, etc.
- Desirable skills in coding knowledge, including C, Python, etc.
- In-depth knowledge of motor technology, including brushed and brushless topologies.
- First principles design understanding of analogue and digital electronics circuits and sub-systems.
- Experience with Multicore Microprocessor systems (MiniPC), HDI, DDR4, MIPI, EMMC, CAN, etc.
- Desirable experience in VSLAM hardware implementation.
- Expertise in functional safety and critical safety systems for design.
- Good understanding of the state of the art in IoT sectors.
- Ability to take ideas and make them designs.
- Good hands-on practical skills, including soldering and prototyping.
- Knowledge of test instrumentation and analysis techniques.
- EMC test techniques and knowledge of EMC design best practice.
- Knowledge of Lithium battery technology, including charging and protection.
