About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Specialist Occupational Therapist to join our team at Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality evidence-based rehabilitation to clients with complex disabilities and needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and coordinate specific areas of service delivery within Intermediate Care Southwark.
- Provide clinical expertise and advice on Occupational Therapy client care to colleagues and other health professionals.
- Supervise and develop junior staff, including Specialist Occupational Therapists and Rehabilitation Support Workers.
- Work as an independent, autonomous practitioner in the delivery of client care in the community setting.
- Contribute to the development of the team's commitment to meeting patient needs and delivering excellence.
Requirements
- Recognised Occupational Therapy degree qualification or equivalent.
- Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) registration.
- Experience of working with adults and older people with chronic conditions and complex co-morbidities.
- Rehabilitation experience at minimum Band 6 in all core areas: neurology, orthopaedics, respiratory, and care of the elderly.
- Ability to use an evidence-based approach to evaluate outcomes.
