Position Overview:

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to contribute to the school's dynamic Geography department, inspiring the next generation of passionate individuals. The role entails fostering a love for thinking in students, equipping them with essential skills for the modern age.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and deliver engaging and rigorous Geography lessons aligned with the national curriculum and school's educational goals across Key Stages 3 and 4.
  • Create a stimulating classroom atmosphere that promotes student curiosity, problem-solving, and collaboration.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback to facilitate individual growth.
  • Collaborate effectively with colleagues within the Geography department and across the school to enhance the learning experience.
  • Stay abreast of current pedagogical approaches and developments in the field of Geography.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • A Bachelor's degree or higher in Geography or a related field.
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Demonstrated experience teaching Geography at the secondary level.

Remuneration & Benefits:

  • A competitive salary of approximately £50,000 - £70,000 per annum, reflecting experience and qualifications, aligned with the Main Pay Scale (MPS) or Upper Pay Scale (UPS).
