Weighbridge Operator / Transport Planner

Tudor Griffiths Group is seeking a skilled Weighbridge Operator / Transport Planner to join our team at our head office in Ellesmere, Shropshire.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accurately record all incoming transactions through the weighbridge system.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by assisting customers with documentation and ensuring accurate transactions.
  • Conduct public weighing services as required.
  • Coordinate daily transport movements for the company's fleet, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of aggregates.
  • Liaise with satellite plants to monitor stock levels and organize deliveries accordingly.
  • Support the management team in maintaining statutory compliance, customer care, and technical aspects related to waste received and deliveries scheduled.
  • Develop knowledge of additional systems, such as those related to the Skip Division, to provide cover when necessary.

Requirements:

  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Proficiency in computer systems and ability to meet targets and produce timely reports.
  • Experience or familiarity with transport scheduling, the waste industry, and aggregates is beneficial.
  • Understanding of operational responsibilities and environmental legislation is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of Health & Safety regulations is preferred.

Working Hours: Monday-Friday, 6.30am-5pm, with occasional overtime.
