**Job Summary**

Plantforce is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Service & Repair Manager to lead our team responsible for ensuring the timely and efficient servicing and repair of our plant fleet. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for managing a team of mobile fitters and support staff to deliver exceptional service and repair outcomes.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Lead and manage a team of mobile fitters and support staff to ensure efficient use of resources and timely completion of tasks.
  • Prioritize, schedule, and assign jobs to ensure optimal resource allocation and minimize downtime.
  • Develop and implement effective maintenance schedules to ensure our plant fleet is serviced to the highest standards.
  • Diagnose and resolve complex mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical faults to minimize downtime and optimize equipment performance.
  • Manage repair requests and ensure effective resolution to minimize downtime and optimize equipment performance.
  • Monitor and manage parts and stock control to ensure availability and minimize costs.
  • Coordinate with external contractors for specialized maintenance and repairs to ensure optimal outcomes.
  • Ensure all operations comply with health and safety regulations and company policies.
  • Develop and maintain asset records of maintenance and repair work, including parts used and time spent.
  • Build relationships with key suppliers to negotiate competitive rates and ensure optimal supply chain outcomes.

**Requirements:**

  • Previous experience in a team leader or manager role, preferably in a similar industry.
  • Extensive technical knowledge of heavy plant machinery, including operation and maintenance.
  • Strong understanding of health and safety regulations and company policies.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail, with the ability to analyze complex problems and develop effective solutions.
  • Proficient in using various software and Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
