Your role
This exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Senior Administrative Support Professional to join our Corporate Leadership Team as an Executive Assistant. You will provide executive support to our Corporate Leadership Team members.
As an ideal candidate, you will be able to work under significant pressure, be discreet, and confident in your abilities. You will need to be able to work under minimal supervision, working alone and as part of an extended team.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain realistic and manageable diaries for the Corporate Leadership Team.
- Organise all aspects of meetings/conferences, develop agendas, and ensure timely responses to deadlines.
- Attend and minute meetings.
- Remain conversant with workloads for the Corporate Leadership Network to assist with managing workload and fielding enquires on service issues.
- Liaise with members of the public and elected Members on behalf of colleagues in the Corporate Leadership Network.
- Undertake tasks for the team, project work, and research as directed with minimal supervision.
- Receive, sort, and prioritise mail and emails, redirecting as appropriate, and responding to routine correspondence without direction.
- Provide cover across the team as and when required.
- Support colleagues in the Executive Support Team.
About You
You will require a good level of general education to GCSE standard in Mathematics and English or equivalent along with advanced IT skills in MS Office. NVQ 3 or equivalent, or a willingness to train, is also essential.
Prior experience of working as an Executive Assistant and substantial experience in using IT systems, such as Word processing, spreadsheets, internet, Excel, PowerPoint, is essential. You will need to be aware of the requirement for confidentiality at all times.
You must have the ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team, establish good working relationships, arrange conferences and meetings, act on your own initiative, contribute positively at team meetings, and possess excellent communication skills, both orally and written.
You will need to be able to complete tasks and projects on time and to a high standard, demonstrating a can-do attitude, ability to prioritise and manage your workloads, and a willingness to work flexibly.
