Job Summary: We are seeking a seasonal admissions assistant to join our team at Edinburgh Castle. This is a unique opportunity to gain valuable experience in the tourism industry and contribute to bringing Scotland's history to life for visitors from around the world.

About the Role: As an admissions assistant, you will be responsible for welcoming visitors, promoting memberships, issuing audio tours, and managing traffic within the castle. Our team operates at the front of the castle, making us the first point of contact for thousands of visitors each day.

Responsibilities:

  1. Welcoming and checking tickets
  2. Promoting membership opportunities
  3. Issuing audio guides
  4. Managing crowd flow

What You'll Need: To be successful in this role, you will require excellent communication skills, a friendly demeanor, and the ability to work well under pressure. Previous experience in customer-facing roles or similar environments would be advantageous.

Salary: £18,000 - £22,000 per annum (dependent on experience), plus benefits.
