Gloucester, Gloucestershire, United Kingdom Via Westminster Drug Project Full time

Job Summary

The Role

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Outreach Practitioner to join our team at Via Westminster Drug Project. As a key member of our multi-disciplinary team, you will work closely with individuals who are at risk of homelessness and have experienced housing challenges, substance misuse, and mental health difficulties.

As an Outreach Practitioner, you will provide high-quality care and support to our service users, working in partnership with our clinical team, counsellors, and other professionals to deliver a recovery-based approach that values the strengths and choices of each individual.

Key responsibilities will include managing a caseload of service users, providing interventions at varying stages of their recovery, and developing and delivering a range of groups and activities. You will also work closely with our team to develop and implement service improvements and contribute to the overall success of our service.

The Service

Our Adult Drug and Alcohol Services across Gloucestershire transferred to Via on 1st April 2024, and this role provides a great opportunity to build on existing service strengths, drive new developments, and make a positive impact as part of this new contract.

Location

This is a county-wide role, with your base predominantly being the P3 Offices at Morroway House in Gloucester, with travel to Via hubs as required.

What We Offer

As a valued member of our team, you will receive a warm welcome, peer support, training, regular supervision, and the chance to thrive in a lively and innovative service. We offer a range of benefits, including 30 days annual leave for all new starters, health and wellbeing initiatives, financial perks, and development opportunities.

How to Apply

We welcome enquiries from everyone, and we value diversity in our workplace. Our commitment to promoting diversity and developing a workplace environment where all staff are treated with dignity and respect is central to our recruitment process. We're a Disability Confident Employer and are committed to the employment and career development of disabled people.
