Heavy Automotive Diesel Mechanic Role

We are seeking a skilled Heavy Automotive Diesel Mechanic to join our team at Go Bus Transport in Christchurch. As a leading passenger transport provider in New Zealand, we operate a modern fleet of vehicles and have recently integrated electric vehicles into our portfolio.

This role will be responsible for the completion of all mechanical automotive engineering tasks, while continuously demonstrating best practice. You will work on a variety of vehicles, including MAN, Volvo, FUSO, and Izuzu, and benefit from ongoing external training from our vehicle manufacturers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on heavy automotive diesel vehicles
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot complex mechanical issues
  • Collaborate with the workshop team to ensure efficient and effective vehicle maintenance
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay up-to-date with industry advancements
