An exciting opportunity has arisen for a skilled Arborist Surveyor to join our team at ENWL, based in Blackburn. As a vital member of our arborist teams, you will play a key role in maintaining our overhead network and ensuring the safe and efficient delivery of electricity to our customers.
As an Arborist Surveyor, you will work independently, liaising with landowners to conduct UA5 surveys on our extensive overhead network. You will be responsible for managing your own workload, completing all aspects of the survey to effectively maintain trees adjacent to overhead power lines.
Key responsibilities of this role include:
Liaising and negotiating with third parties
Liaise and negotiate with third parties to obtain maximum tree clearances, ensuring that our network is maintained to the highest standards.
Customer liaison
Liaise with customers to generate maximum tree clearance programmes, providing excellent customer service and ensuring that their needs are met.
Delivering high levels of customer service
Focus on delivering high levels of customer service when liaising with customers, providing a positive experience and building strong relationships.
Providing tree cutting work packs
Provide tree cutting work packs that are in line with operational standards, ensuring that our network is maintained safely and efficiently.
Initiating site-specific risk assessments
Initiate site-specific risk assessments and build safe working practices into the work packs, ensuring that our employees and customers are protected.
As a skilled Arborist Surveyor, you will have the opportunity to work on a wide range of projects, from pruning trees to maintaining our overhead network. You will be working towards British Standards, ensuring that our network is maintained to the highest standards.

What we're looking for
We are looking for an experienced Arborist Surveyor who has excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build successful working relationships with both customers and clients. You will have a RFS in arboriculture or equivalent, an NPTC UA1 + UA5, and basic chainsaw use (desirable). Aerial rescue (desirable), Windblown / medium trees (desirable), driving license (essential) preferably with B+E (trailer towing), LANTRA / NPTC chipper certificate (desirable), Backpack spraying NPTC (desirable), proven team working skills with the ability to supervise less experienced colleagues, excellent organisational skills combined with the ability to work under own initiative, a result-focused approach with the ability to achieve deadlines, and ability to use Laptop, word documents, excel spreadsheets.
