We are seeking a dedicated and passionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at GSL Education.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will work closely with class teachers to ensure that lessons are delivered in accordance with students' individualized learning goals. This will involve assisting with lesson planning, delivering lessons under the teacher's guidance, and providing dedicated support to students with SEN.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist teachers with lesson planning and delivery
  • Provide dedicated support to students with SEN
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning atmosphere
  • Work with class teachers and other support staff to provide the best educational, emotional, and social support
  • Assist with assessing students' work and providing feedback
  • Support students with behavioural issues
  • Work with students with special educational needs to adapt to teaching methods and materials

Requirements:

  • Right to Work in the UK
  • Level 4 or higher qualification
  • Relevant childcare or education-based qualification
  • Awareness and knowledge of different additional needs
  • Passion for working with young people to overcome barriers to learning
  • Confident delivery of pre-planned lessons and interventions
  • Ability to manage behaviour in-line with school policy
  • Child only DBS registered to the update service or willing to apply
