We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced educator to join our Film Academy team as a Lecturer in Film and Television. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching and learning experiences to our students, as well as leading the planning and delivery of our new BFI-backed Saturday Club.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in film and television education, with a UK Honours degree or equivalent in a relevant subject and a PGCE or other relevant teaching qualification. They will also have practical experience of working in the film and television industries and experience of working in an educational environment.
We are looking for someone who is passionate about film and television education and has the ability to inspire and motivate our students. The successful candidate will be a team player who is able to work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve agreed targets.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver high-quality teaching and learning experiences to students on our Level 2 and Level 3 programmes of study
- Lead the planning and delivery of our new BFI-backed Saturday Club
- Work with the Film and Music Curriculum Manager to develop and implement curriculum plans
- Assess student progress and provide feedback
- Contribute to the development of the Film Academy team and the wider college
