Role Overview

The role is for a Mathematics Teacher to join our team at Long Term Futures Ltd. As a key member of the department, you will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging lessons to both KS3 and KS4 students.

Salary Information

The salary for this position is £150 - £210 per day, paid weekly on a term-time only basis. This represents an annual salary of approximately £62,400 - £84,720, based on 5 days of work per week.

Job Responsibilities

We are looking for a qualified teacher with experience in teaching KS3, KS4, and KS5 curriculum. The successful candidate will have excellent classroom control and behaviour management strategies. They will also be passionate about teaching and keen to ensure that students make continued progress.

Main Duties:
  • Planning and delivering engaging lessons to both KS3 and KS4 students.
  • Differentiating lesson content to meet a wide range of students' needs and abilities.
  • Delivering KS4 examination content in line with the school examination board.
  • Assessing children's work against the school's assessment framework.
  • Liaising with the school SENCO around the progress of children with special educational needs.
  • Attending weekly department meetings to help drive forward the school's attainment levels.
  • Being involved with the school pastoral system, taking ownership of a form/tutor group and delivering the school's pastoral curriculum.

Candidate Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and have confidence in teaching KS3, KS4, and KS5 curriculum. You should also have excellent classroom control and behaviour management strategies. Passion for teaching and a willingness to work cohesively with the departmental and pastoral team are essential requirements.
