Job Title: Autism SEN Teacher Position
Estimated Salary: £45,000 - £55,000 per annum
We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated SEN teacher to join our team at Reeson Education. As an experienced teacher with a passion for working with children with autism and severe learning difficulties, you will play a vital role in shaping the educational journey of our students.
About the Role:
The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching a mixed class of pupils with autism and severe learning difficulties, primarily in Early Years or Key Stage 1. You will work closely with two friendly and capable Learning Support Assistants to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach a curriculum based on the Early Years framework with a focus on social and communication skills
- Work alongside Learning Support Assistants to develop tailored learning plans
- Use school facilities, including sensory rooms and outside areas, to enhance learning experiences
- Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and strategies
- Participate in staff meetings and contribute to the development of school policies
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent overseas qualification
- Experience in teaching children with autism and severe learning difficulties
- Ability to use initiative and flexibility in a fast-paced environment
- Clear and up-to-date DBS check
- Right to work in the UK
