We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assistant Manager to join our team at Farmfoods in Avonmeads, Bristol.

As an Assistant Manager, you will be responsible for supporting the Shop Manager in running an efficient shop and providing excellent customer service.

You will be accountable for the development of your team of retail assistants, ensuring they receive coaching, mentoring, and feedback to help them grow and succeed.

In the absence of the Shop Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring customers are looked after, deliveries are processed quickly, and shop routines are completed to maintain a safe, clean, and tidy shop.

You will also be responsible for motivating and guiding your team to ensure the control of operational costs, including shrinkage, waste, and payroll.

Additionally, you will support the Shop Manager with recruitment and induction of new team members.

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a friendly, positive, and hardworking approach to work. You will be a 'people person' who can build strong working relationships with your team and customers.

You will also need to be trustworthy and reliable, as you will be an important part of a small team.

Some experience as a manager, team leader, or supervisor is essential for this role.
