Financial Controller Role

This position offers an opportunity to take ownership of driving change across the Finance team, leading the delivery and reporting of core Finance Operation processes.

The successful candidate will be instrumental in maintaining a strong control environment, identifying issues and areas for improvement, and driving process standardisation and automation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the Financial Analysis, Payroll, Purchase Ledger and Credit Control processes across Finance.
  • Provide ownership and oversight for training requirements across Finance.
  • Ensure all month and year-end adjustment journals are processed on time.
  • Ensure compliance with all legal and statutory authorities.
  • Communicate with auditors to ensure they have all the necessary information.
  • Maintain a strong control environment by regularly reviewing key processes, identifying issues and improvement areas.

Requirements:

  • Fully qualified ACCA/ ACA/ CIMA etc.
  • Ability to comprehend complex processes and drive through improvements.
  • Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
  • Ability to take on a broad spectrum of work under pressure.
  • Ability to effectively line manage staff across the Finance function.
  • Proactive and self motivated.
  • Understanding of key principles required to design effective financial internal controls.
