Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Psychiatrist to join our integrated mental health team at HMP Leeds. This is a full-time role working 40 hours per week, with a competitive annual salary up to £180,000 per annum, depending on experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Actively participate in the strategic direction of the mental health service, leading the senior mental health clinicians on service developments and providing clinical supervision.
- Work within the multi-disciplinary team to review referrals, determine appropriate treatment plans, conduct risk assessments, and engage in multi-professional complex case reviews.
- Develop and implement effective treatment plans, ensuring the highest standards of patient care and safety.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care to patients, including those with complex mental health needs.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of mental health policies and procedures, ensuring they are aligned with best practice and regulatory requirements.
Requirements:
- Specialist Registration in either General Adult or Forensic Psychiatry.
- Up-to-date knowledge in adult psychiatry and PD.
- Awareness of current issues in mental health service provision, policy, and legislation.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, colleagues, and other stakeholders.
- Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
