Sovereign Risk Analysis

We are seeking a skilled Sovereign Risk Analyst to join our team at Our Graduates. As a key member of our Emerging Markets team, you will be responsible for analyzing and assessing emerging market risk, providing views and investment ideas across hard currency and local currency investments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and forecast economic fundamentals, political factors, valuations, technical, and ESG factors that determine credit risk.
  • Update the in-house research depositary, Credit Analysis Platform (CAP), to reflect high conviction views.
  • Analyze sovereign risk to assess suitability for investment across all portfolios and perform country due diligence as appropriate.
  • Engage with external research providers, stakeholders, and policy makers to inform views.
  • Analyze hard and local currency and FX valuations to generate investment ideas across various different strategies.

Requirements:

  • 10+ years of experience in research/analysis role with a strong background in macroeconomics.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of econometrics and ability to form independent views.
  • Strong Excel/coding skills and ability to work with complex data.
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in a relevant field or CFA certification.
