Senior Architect

The S/L/A/M Collaborative is seeking an experienced Project Architect to lead our commercial projects in Glastonbury, CT. This role requires a professional with 7+ years of experience in team leadership, project management, and architecture. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, be able to work independently, and have proficiency in Revit and other applications.
About the Role
In this position, you will work closely with project teams, collaborate with clients and internal stakeholders, and develop concepts accurately and rapidly to meet deadlines. You will also attend client meetings, support client needs, maintain positive communications, and provide direction and mentorship to junior staff members.
Key Responsibilities
* Continuously collaborate with project interns and/or internal team members;
* Develop and express architectural concepts accurately and rapidly to meet deadlines;
* Attend client meetings in-house and at client sites;
* Support the needs of both internal and external clients;
* Maintain positive communications and work with colleagues and clients;
* May consult manufacturers and evaluate materials;
* May have responsibility for writing architectural specifications;
* Provide direction and mentorship to junior staff members.
Salary
$120,000 per year

Required Skills and Qualifications
* Experience in Education project types preferred;
* Client and project management skills required;
* Experience with space planning, design, multi-discipline team coordination, and leadership required;
* Technical proficiency in building construction, codes, and construction documents;
* Strong communication skills and team-oriented professional;
* Basic proficiency in Revit and other applications necessary;
* Ability to work independently with proficient organizational and time management skills;
* Highly motivated, good team player with the ability to juggle multiple tasks, collaborate with large multi-disciplinary teams, and work well under deadlines;
