Senior Litigation Paralegal Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Litigation Paralegal to join our team at Keoghs. As a Senior Litigation Paralegal, you will play a key role in the defence of litigated motor cases on behalf of a wide range of Insurance clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Case Management
    • Run your own case load of pre and post-litigation defender motor files
    • Adhere to court deadlines and manage files in accordance with court timetables
  • Expert Instructing
    • Instruct experts
    • Carry out detailed reviews of medical records
  • Court Documentation
    • Draft pleadings/court documents
  • Client Liaison
    • Liaise with clients/other insurers/third parties
    • Liaise with policyholders and witnesses
  • Settlement Negotiation
    • Negotiate settlements

Essential Skills and Attributes

  • Experience in Litigation and Insurance
  • Ideal experience in at least one of the following areas: Credit hire, personal injury and counter fraud files
  • Experience of drafting court documents and understanding of processes
  • Ability to organise and prioritise tasks using initiative
  • Calm under pressure with the ability to re-prioritise and delegate effectively when required
  • Ability to analyse evidence
  • Good team worker with the flexibility to do what is required to get a result and ensure client service levels are met
