About the Role

Ribbons & Reeves are working with a top-performing school in Tower Hamlets to find an exceptional Financial Leadership Specialist. This key role will report directly to the Headteacher.

As Financial Leadership Specialist, you will play a pivotal part in driving the school towards its strategic objectives by making informed decisions that ensure operational efficiency and lay a solid foundation for future growth. You will spearhead ongoing enhancements and optimisation across all financial operations and structures within the school.

This involves effective leadership and direction of the finance team, managing school resources including budget and financial planning for all accounts and providing advice and reports as required to the senior leadership team, governing body, local authority, and external agencies. Additionally, you will contribute to the school improvement plan.

The ideal candidate will possess relevant financial qualifications and have a proven track record of success in financial management in a school environment. Strong leadership, managerial acumen, and exceptional interpersonal skills are essential attributes for this role.

Key Responsibilities
  • Expert knowledge of financial regulations
  • Qualified Level 4 Diploma for School Head of Finance (CSBM) or higher; or equivalent with some experience in a senior position or a Member of the AAT with significant relevant experience
  • Experience of developing strategies at a whole school level and delivering on initiatives with maximum impact
  • Extensive experience of financial and budgetary management
