About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Assistant Key Worker to join our team at Youth Connect South West (YCSW). As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in supporting students with special educational needs (SEN) and emotional or behavioural difficulties.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide daily assistance to Key Workers with the preparation and implementation of individualised education plans (IEPs) and routines.
  • Support the management of challenging behaviour and create a positive learning environment for students.
  • Offer emotional and social support to students, helping them to engage effectively with the curriculum and participate in college activities.
  • Safely transport students to and from college, appointments, and extracurricular activities as needed.
