Geography Teacher Job Description

We are seeking a qualified Geography Teacher to join our team at Career Teachers. The successful candidate will have a strong passion for teaching and a commitment to delivering high-quality lessons to students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and comprehensive Geography lessons to students
  • Cover diverse topics and themes across the curriculum
  • Create engaging lesson plans tailored to different learning styles and abilities
  • Create a supporting and inclusive learning environment to allow students to thrive
  • Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the Geography curriculum
  • Maintain classroom standards in line with current school policies
  • Cover a range of other subjects where required

Requirements:

  • QTS, PGCE or equivalent qualification
  • Relevant experience as a Geography Teacher within the key stage 3 & 4 levels or an ECT
  • Flexible, committed, motivational and passionate about teaching
  • A current DBS on the Update Service or is willing to complete a new one
  • Able to easily commute to Sheffield, South Yorkshire

Salary and Working Hours:

Daily rates of pay vary dependent on experience between £120 to £180

This is a flexible role with both full-time and part-time positions available

All quoted rates are inclusive of 12.07% holiday pay
