About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced legal professional to join our Commercial Contracts Group as a Legal Counsel II. This is a full-time (hybrid) position based in our Springtown site in Derry/Londonderry, Northern Ireland, or remote EU locations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support business in the structuring, drafting, and negotiating general commercial contracts for sales and procurement activities.
  • Conduct legal reviews and advise business groups on compliance with antitrust and competition laws, anticorruption, international trade and export restrictions, data privacy, and related EU and member state regulations.
  • Monitor and analyze EU statutes for legal risks and propose creative and effective solutions to address these risks for Seagate's worldwide business transactions.
  • Provide legal and strategic business advice to mitigate or manage risk while advancing Seagate's business interests.
  • Contract management: become familiar with Seagate's contract management programs and drive efficiencies in the contracting process.
About You

We are looking for a candidate with 4+ years of transactional experience in a combination of law firm and in-house corporate legal environment. You should be organized and hard-working, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously under deadline pressure.

You should have experience and familiarity with EU law and regulations in the technology sales space, as well as the capacity to work independently and as part of a team, with exceptional interpersonal skills, a sense of humor, unquestionable ethics and integrity, and sound judgment.

You should be able to communicate professionally and effectively, write clearly and concisely, and manage people and tasks to deadline.
