We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Estimator to join our team at Professional Construction Recruitment.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for producing accurate and detailed cost estimates for large-scale and complex projects. This will involve analyzing project data, identifying potential risks, and developing comprehensive estimating strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of the UK construction market, including the main forms of contract and the associated risks.
  2. Produce high-quality estimating documentation, including project and corporate reports.
  3. Manage and present estimating information to stakeholders, including clients and project teams.
  4. Collaborate with estimating assistants to develop and implement estimating strategies.
  5. Identify and mitigate potential risks and inefficiencies in the estimating process.
  6. Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and project teams to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
  7. Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices in estimating and cost management.

Requirements:

  1. Proven experience in estimating and cost management, preferably in the construction industry.
  2. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and develop effective solutions.
  3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, project teams, and colleagues.
  4. Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on collaboration and teamwork.
  5. Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain high levels of accuracy in estimating documentation.
