Job Summary:

We are seeking a Games Programming lecturer to collaborate on teaching in our Games Design and Games Programming courses. This role involves preparing and delivering on-campus teaching, including tutorials and workshops.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver and facilitate learning through engaging methods of pedagogy.
  • Enhance students' learning experience and outcomes through focused talks, lesson plans, and course material.
  • Provide timely and useful feedback to students to challenge their thinking and ensure understanding.
  • Effective and consistent marking of assessments.

Essential Criteria:

  • Master's degree in a related field or Hons degree (in progress or complete) and/or industry experience.
  • Outstanding communication, interpersonal skills, highly organized, and good time management skills.
  • Demonstrated student service orientation.
  • Full working rights for work in the UK.

Desirable Criteria:

  • Relevant industry experience in games programming/development pipeline and software, specialisms including Unity or Unreal and C# or C++.
  • Teaching experience, including session plans and preparation of materials.
  • Specialisms in game engines, graphics programming, AI, game optimization, mobile development, VR & AR, software development, or other games development topics.
  • Experience in project-based learning, flipped teaching techniques, and contemporary learning facilitation.
  • Experience in using technology in learning, including virtual learning platforms.
  • Ability to teach across other disciplines, including web, games art, games design, and content creation.
  • PlayStation development experience.
