Senior Surveyor (Interim) - Housing Association, Devon

Location: Devon
Contract: 3-Month Interim Contract
Daily Rate: Negotiable

We are seeking an experienced Senior Surveyor to join a Housing Association in Devon on a 3-month contract. This role will cover a critical period of change within the department, and we need a strong, hands-on leader to provide guidance and direction to the existing team.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Oversee and support a team of surveyors focusing on damp and mould issues, disrepairs, repairs, and maintenance surveying.
  2. Provide leadership and strategic direction to ensure the team delivers high-quality services, meets targets, and responds to tenant needs effectively.
  3. Ensure all surveyors are well-supported and have the tools and guidance to adapt to new processes during this transition period.
  4. Maintain a strong focus on delivering excellent service to tenants and addressing urgent property-related concerns.
  5. Work closely with other departments to ensure the smooth running of repair and maintenance operations.
Key Requirements:
  1. Proven experience in surveying within the housing sector, with expertise in repairs, maintenance, damp, and disrepair issues.
  2. Strong team management and leadership skills, with the ability to support and guide a team through change.
  3. Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities, ensuring effective service delivery and tenant satisfaction.
  4. Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines during this interim period.
  5. Ideally based in or near Devon, with availability to start immediately.
