About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Healthcare Support Worker to join our team at the Stroke Unit Colchester Hospital. As a key member of our team, you will provide high-quality care to our patients, working closely with Registered Nurses to ensure their needs are met.

This is an exciting opportunity to develop your skills and knowledge in a dynamic and supportive environment. You will be responsible for assisting patients with daily living activities, checking patient observations, and providing personal care.

We are looking for someone who is passionate about patient care, has a strong understanding of clinical procedures, and is able to work effectively as part of a team. If you are a motivated and enthusiastic individual who is committed to delivering excellent care, we would love to hear from you.

Main Responsibilities
  1. Provide personal care to patients, including bathing, toileting, and feeding.
  2. Assist patients with daily living activities, such as dressing and undressing.
  3. Check patient observations and report any concerns to the Registered Nurse.
  4. Work effectively as part of a team to ensure high-quality care is delivered to patients.
  5. Participate in the development and implementation of patient care plans.

Requirements
  • Proven experience in a health setting.
  • Experience within an acute setting.
  • Care certificate achieved or equivalent.
  • Evidence of completed competencies as part of a professional portfolio.
