BlackRock Solutions (BRS) provides clients with access to sophisticated risk analytics and investment systems used to support BlackRock's asset management business. By combining capital markets and business process expertise with advanced risk analytics, BRS helps clients address various challenges in risk management and investment process.

We are looking for a Quantitative Analysis Specialist to support the development of Aladdin's performance measurement and attribution capabilities. This role plays a key coordinating role in defining product strategy, conceptualizing, designing, testing, and deploying new capabilities, working closely with financial modelers, engineers, product managers, and users.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Analyze, create specifications for, and test enhancements to performance measurement and attribution calculation and presentation capabilities in collaboration with portfolio managers, risk managers, product strategists, engineers, modelers, researchers, and Aladdin Product Management.
  2. Engage with clients and prospects to provide subject matter expertise and capture product feedback and user stories, both directly and indirectly through relationship managers.
  3. Provide a good understanding of demand from clients and prospects to help drive the agenda for performance-related product development, keeping abreast of market trends and their implications for performance measurement.
  4. Escalate client inquiries and production challenges related to performance measurement and attribution, providing documentation of calculations and methodology.
  5. Orchestrate the model development lifecycle, including specifications/requirements, data and infrastructure planning, user acceptance testing, deployment, and release communications.
  6. Collaborate with partner teams that manage production and quality control processes, providing subject matter expertise and coordination to resolve escalated client inquiries.
  7. Maintain documentation around models and related infrastructure.

Qualifications

  1. 1-3 years of experience in business analyst-related roles relevant to the development, deployment, and application of models and analytics within performance and attribution areas.
  2. Demonstrated success in project management with financial modelers, engineers, and product managers.
  3. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including ability to document use cases and user stories, write specifications, deliver presentations, communicate up and down the organization, and influence partners and stakeholders.
  4. Ability to navigate technical environments using scripting skills (e.g., Python), SQL, and advanced Excel to scale activities such as model validation and software testing.
  5. Resourceful, proactive, and able to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  6. Advanced degree preferred, but a Bachelor's degree is required.

Salary Estimate: $120,000 - $160,000 per year based on location and industry standards.
