Conservation Groundskeeper

**Job Summary**

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as an Estate Ranger at Wokingham Borough Council. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining over 30 countryside sites throughout the borough, including Country Parks, Nature Reserves, and Public Rights of Way.

**Key Responsibilities**

• Assist with the maintenance of park visitor facilities, including general repairs and upkeep.
• Perform tasks such as mowing, strimming, and fencing to maintain the appearance and safety of the parks.
• Conduct health and safety inspections to ensure a safe working environment.
• Work with volunteers and the public to deliver technical wildlife conservation projects.
• Support the delivery of land management projects, including reactive tree work and habitat maintenance.

**Requirements**

• A keen interest in land management and working outdoors.
• A full driving license and previous practical outdoor experience.
• Desirable skills include chainsaw, brushcutter, tractor, and trailer driving experience.
• Ability to work weekends and some evenings, with a weekday-only role possible.
