About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Public Health Assistant Strategist to join our team at the London Borough of Islington. As a key member of our Healthy Environments, Healthy Ageing and Long Term Conditions team, you will play a crucial role in shaping our environment to improve the health and wellbeing of our residents.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and supporting work in areas including healthy weight, food, physical activity and the built environment. This will involve managing contracts for public health services, reviewing best practice literature, delivering evidence-based projects, and helping to deliver our department's strategic objectives.

Person Specification

We are looking for a candidate with a postgraduate qualification in a relevant discipline, or equivalent relevant experience and/or training. You will need to be passionate about improving health and wellbeing and tackling inequalities, and have excellent collaboration and communication skills.
