Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Dental Therapist to join our team in a community setting. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering clinical procedures and preventative oral care to patients in Lambeth, Southwark, and Lewisham.

Main Duties

  1. To ensure all clinical treatment is performed to a high standard in accordance with a treatment plan prepared by a community dental officer.
  2. To receive and prepare patients for clinical treatment in the dental clinic, taking into account any disability or special care need the patient may have.
  3. To be continuously aware of any change in the clinical condition of a patient that may affect the prognosis or the treatment plan and to bring these changes to the attention of the referring dental officer.

Person Specification

  • Dental Therapy Qualification
  • Full registration with the General Dental Council

Knowledge and Experience

  • Experience of working in community settings
  • Experience of management and team leadership
  • Experience of providing oral health promotion in community settings
