About the RoleWe are seeking highly skilled and experienced SIA Door Supervisors to join our Newcastle team at various venues, including the Utilita Arena and O2 City Hall. As a Door Supervisor, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of our clients, staff, and visitors.
Key Responsibilities- Perform pre and post-event checks to ensure the venue is secure and compliant with regulations.
- Assist with safe and effective ingress, egress, and queue management to minimize congestion and ensure a smooth event experience.
- Effectively manage conflict and complete safe, lawful ejections to maintain a secure environment.
- Conduct thorough checks of passes, accreditation, and tickets to ensure only authorized individuals gain access to the venue.
- Conduct regular patrols of the site or venue to identify potential hazards and suspicious behavior.
- Respond promptly and effectively to incidents, emergencies, and preserve crime scenes to maintain a secure environment.
- Monitor spectators for signs of distress, overcrowding, and inappropriate behavior and report these to the on-shift supervisor.
- Enforce venue policies and procedures to maintain a secure and safe environment.
- Ensure fire exits and evacuation routes are always kept clear to facilitate a safe and efficient evacuation in case of an emergency.
- Ensure health and safety guidelines and regulations are adhered to by all stakeholders, including Showsec workers, labor providers, customers, and venue staff.
- A minimum hourly rate of £14.55 per hour, comprising a pay rate of £12.98 and indicative holiday pay of £1.57, and a maximum hourly rate of £16.97 per hour, comprising a pay rate of £15.14 and indicative holiday pay of £1.83.
- Flexibility to choose your own shifts and work around your existing commitments on our casual contract.
