**Job Description:** As a Vehicle Maintenance Engineer with the John Lewis Partnership, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our logistics network.

About the Role:

This is a full-time position, working 37.5 hours per week on a two-week rota, with the expectation of working one in two Saturdays at premium overtime rates. You will work Monday to Friday, alternating between early morning and late evening shifts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carrying out servicing and repairs on commercial vehicles to the highest standards
  • Ensuring all inspection, service, and defect paperwork is completed correctly and in a timely manner
  • Assisting in specific projects as directed and maintaining up-to-date knowledge of developments within the motor industry
  • Working efficiently and proactively to manage own time and maintain high-quality repairs at a cost-effective price

Requirements: To be successful in this role, you will need a proven background in transport commercial vehicle repairs, knowledge of commercial vehicle legislation and roadworthiness, and a full UK driving licence. A 'C' or 'C+E' driving licence is desirable but not essential.

Salary & Benefits: The salary for this role is up to £42,700 per annum, with potential earnings of up to £50,000 including shift premium and OTE. In addition to a competitive salary, we offer a range of benefits, including a £300 tool allowance after one year of employment, ongoing training courses, and excellent work-life balance.
