Exciting Opportunity for a Band 6 Junior Charge Nurse/Sister in Dermatology

We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated individual with significant experience in Dermatology to join our dynamic team in a well-established department. The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills and will deputise for their manager, coordinating the day-to-day clinical, managerial, and educational requirements in the area, while delivering high standards of specialist care to patients with a wide range of Dermatological conditions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver and oversee high standards of specialist care to patients in Dermatology Outpatients, including Day care / Phototherapy, assisting in theatre during minor operations, and providing clinical knowledge and expertise to the team.
  • Coordinate and deliver high-quality care, ensuring all staff are aware of and adhere to trust Protocols of care.
  • Manage the day-to-day staffing arrangements and rotas, ensuring safe levels of practice.
  • Be a shift coordinator on a regular basis, where appropriate.
  • Proven clinical knowledge linked to the area of specialty, and excellence in care delivery.
Requirements:
  • Registered Nurse (Adult or child as appropriate)
  • 18 months post-registration experience at Band 5 level in the area
  • Wide variety of clinical experience in Dermatology Outpatients
  • Experience in wound care / dressings
  • Able to deliver Patch Testing within competency
  • Able to deliver photodynamic therapy independently
