Senior Management Consultant

Our client, a leading multinational energy company, is seeking a seasoned Senior Management Consultant to drive strategic growth in the European market. With a strong emphasis on sustainability and a low carbon footprint, this role presents a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess the company's current capabilities, pipeline, management, and governance processes to ensure they are fit for purpose in the European markets.
  • Develop a comprehensive approach to consolidating the company's existing position and growing in priority European markets.
  • Outline different strategies for delivering outcomes and advising on how the company can scale up in the market.
  • Identify opportunities that support the company's net zero targets while creating shareholder value and advise on the criteria for quantitative and qualitative assessment of such opportunities.

Requirements:

  • A background in strategy management consulting or a similar role in international corporations.
  • A deep understanding of the renewables industry within European markets, including wind, solar, and battery technologies.
  • Experience with change programs and business expansion into new markets and geographies.
  • Experience supporting high-value, complex capital projects, including a deep understanding of commercial value drivers and financing options.
  • Fluency in Spanish and other European languages is preferred but not necessary.

The role reports to the Director of Onshore Wind, Solar, and Battery for Europe, who has P&L responsibility for the origination, development, construction, and operation of European assets and management of teams based in Spain, Italy, France, Greece, and Poland, as well as any new operations in the region.

This is an initial 6-month contract, with the possibility of extension or conversion to a permanent role, but no guarantees.
