We are seeking compassionate and experienced Support Workers to join our team in Scotland. If you're dedicated to making a positive impact in the lives of others, we want to hear from you.
Key Requirements:- Minimum 6 months of healthcare experience in the UK (essential).
- SSSC Pin: Must be registered with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC).
- PMVA or MAPA Training: Experience with Prevention and Management of Violence and Aggression (PMVA) or Management of Actual or Potential Aggression (MAPA) training or willingness to undergo the training is essential.
- Medication Administration: Fully trained and competent in administering medication.
- PVG Scheme: Must hold a Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) check.
- Physical Fitness: Must be fit and healthy enough to walk 2-6 miles with service users as part of support activities.
- Provide compassionate care and support to individuals with varying needs.
- Assist with personal care tasks such as dressing, bathing, and grooming.
- Administer medication in line with care plans and legal requirements.
- Promote independence and encourage participation in day-to-day activities.
- Accompany service users on walks, which may range from 2 to 6 miles, and support them in outdoor activities.
- Support individuals in managing challenging behaviours through de-escalation techniques (PMVA or MAPA).
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of care provided.
- Work closely with healthcare professionals and families to ensure the best possible care for service users.
- Adhere to safeguarding and health & safety policies at all times.
