Advanced Practitioner

We are seeking an experienced Advanced Practitioner to join our team at Great Ormond Street Hospital. The successful candidate will have a nationally recognized masters in Advanced Clinical Practice (ACP) and a strong background in critical care provision. The role will involve working within a multi-professional team to manage the medical care of patients with acquired or congenital heart disease, using decision-making and interventions to improve patient outcomes.
Main Duties of the JobThe successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Using their expert intensive care skills, knowledge, and experience in ACP to develop a skill set for the paediatric cardiac intensive care environment.
- Developing a skill set for the paediatric cardiac intensive care environment, with a focus on critical care provision and patient management.
- Working within the four pillars of ACP, with clinical supervision from a named consultant and ACP.
- Providing evidence of case management of a group of patients within critical care, and maintaining an e-portfolio illustrating their learning continuum.
- Developing a professional 5-year development plan, in line with HEE 2020 guidelines.
- Working as part of an established CICU workforce, including nights and weekends, and developing their skills as part of the medical rota.
