Job Summary

The UK Controller will play a key role in leading the financial operations of Allegion Canada Inc. This position involves overseeing financial reporting, budgeting, and implementing financial controls to ensure accuracy and compliance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Directs and oversees accounting operations for all UK sites, managing the Local UK Finance Team.
  • Covers monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting close processes.
  • Conducts variance analysis and reports on financial performance against budgets and forecasts, providing insights and recommendations to senior management.
  • Oversees the preparation of financial statements and filings in compliance with UK and US GAAP, supporting the audit process and liaising with external auditors.
  • Performs ad hoc financial analyses and prepares reports to facilitate decision making.
  • Develops, implements, monitors, and tests internal controls in compliance with local requirements and Sarbanes Oxley.
  • Collaborates cross-functionally and with other business units to identify operational improvements and build business cases.
  • Manages a team of various levels, accountable for team performance and results.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or equivalent field.
  • Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA etc).
  • Over 10 years of post-qualification experience.
  • Experience in multinational companies.
  • Experience or familiarity with Hyperion and Microsoft AX desirable.
  • Strong communication and influencing skills.
  • Excellent analytical and data gathering skills.
  • Proficiency in financial modeling techniques.
  • Fluency with Excel formulas and functions.
  • A solid track record of ensuring compliance with legal and corporate requirements.
  • Good organization and time management skills.
  • Commercial acumen with a strong understanding of business operations and market dynamics.
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines under pressure.
  • Self-motivated, able to work without supervision in a matrixed structure.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary range between £80,000 - £110,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus a comprehensive benefits package including health insurance, pension scheme, and generous holiday entitlement.
