About Us:

Spencer Clarke Group is delighted to partner with a reputable primary school in the Chorley area.

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Year 2 Class Teacher to join their team for the entire academic year.

This role requires a teacher who is skilled in supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) as there are multiple pupils with diagnoses in the class.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality lessons that cater to the diverse needs of all pupils, with particular attention to those with SEND.
  2. Assess and record pupils' progress, providing regular feedback to students, parents, and colleagues.
  3. Create a safe and stimulating classroom environment that promotes learning and enjoyment.
  4. Develop and implement individualised education plans (IEPs) for pupils with SEND.
  5. Collaborate with colleagues, support staff, and external agencies to provide comprehensive support for pupils with SEND.
  6. Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and school events.
Requirements:
  1. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
  2. Newly qualified teachers (ECTs) are welcome to apply.
  3. Previous experience teaching in a primary school setting is desirable.
  4. Strong knowledge of the Key Stage 1 curriculum and SEND best practices.
  5. Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  6. A nurturing approach and a commitment to ensuring every child achieves their full potential.
